Spicy Garlic Butter Shrimp
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 1 pound PrimeWaters® Easy Peel XL shrimp
- ½ c extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp minced parsley
- 1-2 tsp chile flake (depends on your spice level preference)
- Juice from ½ lemon
- 1 tsp Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Chili flake and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Marinade:
- Combine all the marinade ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl. Add the thawed shrimp into the bowl and mix gently with the marinade.
- Let marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Heat grill or grill pan to medium high. Add the shrimp in an even layer. Let cook for 2-4 minutes until slightly charred.
- Flip shrimp over and cook an additional 1-2 minutes until cooked through, to an internal temp of 150°F. Set aside.
Garlic Butter:
- In a small sauce pot, combine all the ingredients and place over medium heat.
- Cook gently, allowing garlic to become aromatic, approximately 3-5 minutes. Do not overcook, as garlic tends to burn easily and become bitter.
- Place in ramekin for dipping shrimp.
Serve:
- Pile grilled shrimp on large platter and serve with garlic butter and lemon on the side
Additional Enhancements:
- Green goddess dressing or tartar sauce
- Hot sauce
- Grilled sourdough bread
